Don't worry, I'm the same way.

I can't buy a pair of new shoes without second-guessing, "Do I REALLY need these?" Thing is, I probably don't. But photography is so much different. You can't go back later and get the same thing, the opportunity passes and it will be different. Whether you choose me or not, I will ALWAYS ADVOCATE to "TAKE THE PICTURES!"

I haven't always been a photographer, and today, 30+ years later, I wish I had more images of my babies, my husband, my dogs, my parents, grandparents, cousins, you get it. In the moment, we brush it off. We're too busy, too booked up, too, too much. But now, those opportunities for me, are gone. I treasure the value of photographs because less than 24 hours after a family portrait of my parents, brother and I when I was 23 years old, my dad left this earth. I treasure that last image of him as we all would.

I feel that loss in my soul and that's why I'm probably going to make a super-fool of myself with your kids. I'm going to do something goofy to get your hubby to smile. I'll ask your father to kiss your mom like they did 30 years ago and we'll all make a funny face and laugh. We need those moments and that's why I'm here. That's why I LOVE my JOB and I hope to do it until I'm more than 900 years old. Really.

**I did have a sweet girl tell me once that she DID NOT CARE if I was 99 when she was engaged to be married, she'd come bust me out of the nursing home to photograph her wedding! Thats what I call a testimonial and I'd for SURE be there for it!***
